One of my engine mounts is leaking oil, so I guess it's time to change. I checked Pelican parts and found that 993 mounts are much cheaper than 964's (993: $145, 964: $253/$267). Since RS mounts are common between 993 and 964, are standard mounts also interchangable? Can I use 993 mounts on 964? What's the major difference beween 993 and 964 mounts (for that big price gap)?

There is probably a stiffness difference, but physically they will work...... rumor has it you can use boxster engine mounts in a 964 also........

Wevo has the early stuff posted on their site... I believe someone here called them (Marc Shaw??) and they do make 964 mounts...It's worth a call to verify!

I have the WEVO mounts. They just don't list them on their site, but they certainly carry them.

I just ordered solid mounts from EBS. Made by Motorsport Design (part 993 375 101 80). Great price. Its not on the website. Youv'e got to call. I'll let you know how it fits.

what's the significance difference between the various mounts? i wonder if the stock mounts reduce noise? usually when a part is superseded 993 vs 964 the old part is no longer available.
