Don't take on this bad boy Dave, you'll be even worse off than you imagine you are now...:-http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/news/default.asp?storyId=14761

It's a shame new cars depreciate. I'd quite like to trade the focus in for a car that makes 428lb-ft of torque at 1,750rpm!

I don't want another car - and it's still quite tempting!

I think I'd wait until the V5 turned up though.......

I always like to spend lots of money on a car with no V5 but 'a photocopy'!!!!

Just as a side note Dave, I chased a M5 coupe along the A605 last week. I was on my R1 and was totally shocked at how quick it was. Not as quick as the bike but really not that far off either.

He pulled over twice to let me past but i didn't want to just wanted to see what he had.

Amazing speed and pure grunt. I don't BMW's in general put you cant help but be impressed with that sort of power.

Would have completly toasted the 964

I really need to buy a bike again......

I remember when I bought my TT Supra - it was before I bought an R1 and at the time I had a Blade. The dealer followed me back - and when we got close to home there was a long straight. I pulled out on the Blade to overtake a few cars (not flat out - but certainly quickly) and when I pulled back in, I checked the mirror (again) to see how long I'd have to wait for him to catch up. He was right behind me.

On the other hand - a few days later I was out playing in the new toy and an R1 got behind me, waited for a straight stretch of road and when I floored it in my new (to me) £20K 350bhp sports car, he....... wheelied past me. Git.
