Default 1992 Roadster

Hi All- Thanks for the advise on the $17k 964. It turned out to have numerous problems revealed in the PPI so I ended up passing. I have now gone to the other end of the scale and drove a 1992 Roadster with 30k miles today. Gorgeous car, however they are asking $50k which seems a little steep. Any thoughts on the value?

Are you talking about a Speedster or a Cabriolet? If a Speedster, do you live where you can drive top-down all the time? Either way I doubt any 964 Speedster is worth $50K.. You could buy a MINT low-mileage 993 C2S, a middle condition 993TT, or a nice 2002-03 996 for that money! Or how about a brand new Caymen (non-S)!

I think he is referring to the America Roadster with the turbo body/brakes but base 964 engine. From what I have seen, these cars sell for $40-$50K with 30,000 miles or less. Note: they only made these cars in 1992.

Now to Gary's point regarding 1994 Speedsters, they are selling in the mid-40s with that mileage. Note, however, that 1989 Speedsters with 30K miles or less are now appreciating quickly and are in the mid 50s to low 60s. Sub-1000 production Porsches really can appreciate. Just look at the RSA among others...
