Lightbulb A/C receiver driers - is this the right one?

Got this the other day, but when looking at other pictures on the web, I'm getting concerned that it isn't the right one.
I'm supposed to change it late in the evening the day before I'm having the A/C refilled, but it would be to find out to late that it doesn't fit.
Have you seen it in real life?

Doesn't look right - where do the pipes connect? I changed mine a couple of years ago and it didn't look like that.

There should be connections on the top for the pipes. Be careful though - there are two types. One has the connections at right angles, one has then in line.

The 90 degree one is the same as I had - which means there is a honda one which fits and is a lot cheaper. If you search, you can probably find posts about it (there is one by me because the one I got had the wrong label on it). I think Adrians book mentions it too.

I just replaced mine this past weekend (91 C4) using one from Griffiths (http://www.griffiths.com/porsche/ac/...x.html#Driers). It had the angle connectors with a window just like your old one. My local mechanic told me that they needed to be replaced if one changed from R12 to 134, or every 5 years as their ability to strip out moisture is reduced over time.

Hope you can find something similar by you!

The cross reference to get a replacement cheaper and probably locally is for a 1989 Honda Civic DX.
