Default New to me 93 C-2 Need a few bits and advice

Well, took the plunge on a 93 C-2 one owner car White/Tan Power seats
Phone, basically all options 90K all records. I Live in Germany from Sept-June and Oregon in the Summers. I will be sending it to Germany to enjoy over here and keep my oldies dry.

I will be needing a few things, since its a US Car I will need the back panel
with the opening licensce plate opening for a euro plate. Any Ideas

Is there a good place to buy a OEM or better front windshield and seals

I want to chip the car, and lower the suspension, please let me know what
setup you reccomend, I want a decent ride but I am an hour from the ring
in Germany and will likely want to track her a bit.

I am not sure I want the Phone so If you all know the best way to remove without leaving a mess.

I have access to a set of turbo twist 18s and haven't looked up the fitments
for a 964 car. anyone know off hand.

What Mods do I need to look into right away?

Randy K, Ramstein Germany, Redmond Or,

93 C2 coupe new to me

If anyone EVER comes accross a c-2 targa in Wimbleton green especially a
93 or 94 I am interested. MUST be a 5 speed, may accept cobalt

356s and 911s here and there

Welcome to Rennlist! Congrats on the new car - pictures are always appreciated!

I can't tell you about the 'phone as I've never seen one.

Do you have the sizes and offsets of the 18" wheels? IIRC, the 993 NB wheels have a rear offset of ET65 so you'll need a 15 - 21 mm spacer.

There is a lot of debate about the merits of chipping these cars - a search will give you lots of info.

I think the bumper you want is for sale here.

As for suspension, it depends on your plans for the car and budget. If you plan to track the car, it also depends how much of a comfortable ride on the street you are willing to give up for track agility - alignment setup also affects this too, of course. Lowering the car seems to be universally accepted as a good way to sharpen up the car, regardless of the suspension you go with.

I got my front windshield seal (OEM) from www.pelicanparts.com (a Rennlist sponsor).

Mods people seem to do right away for immediate improvement are suspension/lowering, clear corners, and drilling the airbox (for questionable benefit). Exhaust mods are also popular - either replacing the primary muffler with a cup pipe or the secondary muffler with a g-pipe.

Hope I answered some of your questions!

Is there any chance you can keep your Oregon plates on the car? The ROW metal bumper bar has an indentation
that the USA version doesn't have so the ROW style plastic center bumper piece might not fit properly? I thought there was someone here that had done this mod but they may have had some help from a dremel tool?

At least for the rubber seal I would stick with OE rubber from a Porsche dealership.

hardly surprising really !!!

i'd suggest you do it all in germany when you get the car there
