Default Sorry guys but I have moved to a 911SC

After spending since November of last year looking for a coupe replacement for my 90 C4 Cab I have come across an 1980 911SC that I really like - so I bought it.

I'll miss the wonderful 964s but I am loving this new car since I picked it up yesterday.

No need to apologize, unless you don't intend on coming back occasionally to play!

Congrats, looks very nice.

I'll always be reading the 964 forum, they are very much in my heart. Someday I hope to add another 964 Cab to the garage as a daily driver. The SC is going to be for autox and the track.

Terrific looking car. I do like silver G-models (as well). Especially with "turbo" 16" Fuchs. The right ride-height as well. Good luck.

Congrats! Nothing to regret or apologize for... that is one beautiful car. Please do post some more photos of that beauty. And some comments on how it drives and compares to your old 90 C4 Cab.

The only thing you have to apologize for is providing only ONE picture with the front and the rear clipped off. We need MORE pictures of that beauty!!

I will get more pics of it today, that one is the only one I had taken (actually my son took it) when I ws looking to purchase the car. I need to wash it and take pics

Driving impressions:
Feels light, of course it is 700 lbs. lighter then my C4 cab. Does not feel stiffer then my cab but I had a roll bar in there that made a big difference.
Seems to pull real strong the middle of the rev range vs. the C4 pulling in the upper half. 915 is not bad at all, you don't speed shift but there is no trouble finding the right gears. Accelration is strong because the power to weight ratio is about the same as a C4 cab, C2 coupes would be a higher ratio of power.

The only C2 I drove that felt this raw and tossible was a C2 that had been lightened significantly, RS interior, no AC, heater bypass, no cats, muffler bypass, RS washer fluid bottle, small battery, Sparco seats, no airbags, Sparco steering wheel, light weight flywheel, light weight pulleys and I'm sure more. I think is down around 2700 lbs.

This car is just plain fun.

Congrats! I've owned one, and there's alot to like about the 911SC. If you haven't already, you might want to read the 911SC FAQ at http://tech.rennlist.com

Enjoy!!

Car is so much lighter that the steering really is not that much more difficult. I would not want to be driving around in parking lots at 5 mph all day but on the road it is not much more effort. The feedback through the steering wheel feels better on the SC too. A/C was something that really concerned me, but this car has had a thorough going through, new lines, compressor is perfect, extra a/c vents added under the dash, condesors are clean and working well and the a/c blows vey cold with good volume. As good as 964 a/c, no, but plenty good for San Diego weather
