Default diagnostic manual/listing

I know there are diagnostic manuals for the OBDII 96 and newer models. There are diagnostic manuals for the 944 and 928. I have not seen a diagnostic manual or complete listing for our 964 models. Does anyone have or know if one exists?

It would be great to get it.

Thank you

A factory repair manual ?
A hammer / kts 300 code reader ?
Adrians book ?
Rennlist ?

Are you needing to fix something or just getting ready ?

RennList.com never fails as an excellent "diagnostic manual"!

I have the Porsche 964 workshop manual, Bentley Technical ( workshop ) manual, and Technical service bulletins on CD plus a copy of Adrians book and a PST2. I am looking to get a manual specifically on the diagnosis for the 964. That way I have a printed listing and hopefully complete discription and writting of the problems that a Hammer ( kts300)/PST2(kts500) can diagnose and what I need to do to fix them.

Where did you get the technical service bulletins on CD?

I'd like to have a copy of that!

One of the best 964 manuals is WKD 495 121. Pgs 2-24/25 list the DME fault codes.
The 993 OBDII fault code manual is WKD 483 320.

Loren,

Do you know where that manual can be purchased? I only found one reference on-line when searching for "WKD 495 121" and it was $120.

Cheers,
Dave

Dealers -

Or buy it on-line, as the $120 is a good price. It's worth it.

Loren,
Is WKD 495 121 the "Service Information Technik" for MY89 C4? If not, are there any major differences between it and Volume 1 "Engine Maintenance" in WKD 482 520?

Jason,

The WKD-495-121 is really just a technical manual describing all the technicals
of the 964 when it was introduced, ASB, fuel injection, & 4WD. Your Vol 1
may have this info, but since I don't have Vol 1, I can't really answer that.
I never bought the full 964 manual set, since I just needed the wiring diagrams.
I did buy; 911SC, 911 3.2, 993, 928 but no 964 full set.
