Question Arrows etc on ISV connections..how far do the connectors go?

Hi..just cleaned my ISV as part of the craze sweeping the board - but my hot idle is now hunting and slow to return, fine before..I can't think that I have killed the isv by squirting it with cleaner, but suspect there is a leak at the connectors instead.

The rear connector has an arrow and a line on it - does the rubber hose cover the arrow AND the line when correctly in situ? Could someone nip out and have a look?!

Next time, I'll pay attention to these things before dissassembly..

Johnny,

Mine was attached with the hose up to, but not covering, the lines on both sides.

Johnny,
Did you do a DME reset? If not, I would start there. Here's a link:

Just to follow up - now I've put the ISV back on the right way round, its working much better. Ha ha. Surprising how well the car went with it on completely wrong!

Cleaning it has def improved hunting when cold, too. Thanks for the help.

I just had mine cleaned too-the lazy way by 9M, complete spring clean of inlet system, new hoses and MAF.

Just one question-where is the ISV?
Cheers,
kevin.

Marc,

Am I mistaken, or does that red arrow have a shadow in the picture?!

What do you use to edit your pics?

Pretty slick.
