Interesting debate but I believe the question was are they collectable?
I continue to ask myself if any of these cars or anything made after 1980 will ever be collectable. Or do production numbers need to be less than 100 or less than 50 units to make them collectable? I know the value of my car has stabilized and inched up a bit over the past few years but will it ever be worth what it sold for new? Most collectable Porsche's (356 speedsters, 904's, 917's, RS's etc) are worth big $$ well over what they sold for new. The big question will only be answered with time. Will these cars every be worth what they sold for new or more is a question I wish I knew the answer too. Even the ultra rare 94 turbo S is still only selling for 60-80% of what it sold for new. I hope they do appreciate but tomorrow never knows.
