I started having the problem again (there was rain, but not much). Can the alarm be tripped or become over sensitive if the battery is weak? The battery is dead now.
Thanks

Hmm, Not sure about that.
If the alarm is giving you problems you could just order a replacement from a junkyard, and try it out. They are a rarely replaced part so it will probably cost you verly little to do the test.
Why is your battery dead?

Dead as a door nail. The only reason I hesitate about replacing it is that I don’t know if I can find it.
I’m still not sure if it was the water causing the problem or a weak (now dead) battery. I do have an issue with a small rust spot under the window in the corner near the alarm module and my hood is slightly out of alignment. Though these issues have never been a problem in the past, I am having both the hood alignment and the rust spot repaired next week.

I jumped the battery and the alarm wont stop at all (went for over an hour). I just disconnected the alarm horn.
I'm guessing the alarm is bad, can it be anything else?
Thanks

"can it be anything else?"
Yes , the alarm "looks" at switchs .
If a switch gets wet and closes the alarm thinks something is going on .
Is it the factory alarm ?

Yes, it's the factory alarm
Also - The car starts, but the immobilizer does not activate.
The Alarm sounds, the fog lights illuminate and the rear brake light illuminates.
Right now the car is unusable. Even with the siren disconnected, the battery will drain quickly with all the light constantly on.

I found the alarm control unit - Emptied the water out - dried it off - cleaned the circuit board (what a mess).
Car is functioning normally now. I just have to keep this car dry until the windshield is replaced and rust spot is repaired.
BTW – It’s real P.I.T.A. to get to the alarm module, but of course like everything else on this car I can do it in 10 minutes next time. Its located behind the hood hinge and it's attached to the passenger side fender.
I hope this helps someone in the future -

My 90 just started to false (2nd time today, at least it was not at 3:00am like last time). I need to fix this before my neighbor shoots me.
