Default Tail Light - brake light lamp socket corrosion

My brake light on my 91 C2 Cab just burned out and in the process of replacing it, I noticed that the contacts have corroded and/or rusted. A lot of water leaked out of the tail light assembly when I removed it - the obvious cause for many years of leakage. Now I have to buy the complete tail light with new lamp sockets. Has anyone else found another way to replace the light socket without having to buy the entire tail light?

I'm in Clifton VA - Fairfax County and it's the left side though the other side is in need of replacement as well.

My right side has a leak and it was a bit corded. I used black silcon to seal it up. The lamps on the rear of the 964 are total CRAP...I have a brand new center reflector and it looks pink.

Porsche went to the lowest bidder when they sourced them.
