Apologies if this isn't the correct thread for a question like mine. I'm only now beginning to shop for a 964, and I've got my eye on a couple of imported ROW C2 models with between 30-45k mileage. Both appear in great condition and have most/all of their service records. Neither are PTS samples. What's an acceptable price range for cars that fit this description?
I may take the few hour drive down to have a look at this, but would love any guidance on a realistic value. I am debating between a 964 widebody or 993 C2S and this is the closest car for sale at the moment that really catches my eye.
Any ideas on valuation and specific things to look out for would be appreciated!
I was going to buy this to do a WB conversion on but I thought it went for a bit more than it should have. Other than the motor and Motons the rest of the car is quite rough and no doubt fully repainted. The cage is kind of useless for track and a hazard for the street. There was a time a car modified like this was worth less than a stock car. Yes it would cost you more to build but this car has been beaten on and falls someplace between a DE car and a street car but not really either.
I also suspect the dyno numbers have been played with. I would suspect if tested on a mustang dyno you would see considerably less to the wheels and I suspect that it would be closer to those numbers at the crank.
I have no doubt the new owner will enjoy it but IMO he paid all the money for it.
