Default Jacking up car

There is a discussion on jacking up the cars on the 993 board. If i jack my car up from the front jack point the rear will not rise. If I do it from the rear point both come off the ground. Is this normal or more of a car to car, type of suspension ,or model difference?

I'd imagine the front lifts off because there is so little weight over the front wheels compared to the back. That and the rear jack point is closer to the middle of the car than the front jack point.

I agree, it's all about the car's weight distribution.

The only variables I can think of would be the spare tire in or out and the amount of gas in the tank.

Other than that... gremlins?
