Re: competing in concours events - I did one last year and got dinged for the slightly off white (dirty) stitching on the driver's side door armrest and the white haze on the rubber parts in the door jamb. The judges said my car had real potential, but I'm not a makeup brush & Q-tip guy. LOL. Maybe in a few years...
My cars have survived as they have because I show them and it forces my hand to clean extensively. A clean car lasts far longer. Maybe next year I will talk you into it.
Or spend the time driving it. It's a car after all. You can still make it last as long. I just put on 5000 kms in my 964 Turbo in my first year. I still clean it, wash it, maintain it.

I drive mine as well. Many miles even in the rain.😱 I have several different options to drive and put about 8k on them divided up between them. I don't drive as much these days, not like when i was younger when I was driving 50k+miles annually. I have also been driving the US cup a 993TT and a few others that I have been working on but don't belong to me. The 928 has gotten the second most miles to the 981 Boxster GTSm lately. Then the C2 but the turbo I don't drive as much as I like to. This winter the turbo gets a full engine out refurbishment and then I will drive it more next year. As I get older the newer or GT cars seem to win over for the long drives the others are weekend cruisers. My Boxster will be used to head to the Glen for IMSA this weekend. The others are not as comfortable for the longer drives. Although some of the events like NEw Hope are long drives so it is dual purpose.
I actually prefer to do most of my driving on track and soon I hope to have the **** box and Blue Meanie back on the track. I usually get about 3k miles a year on track but lately not so lucky. These are far more fun when you can push them to the limits.
awesome @cobalt ! ill get more miles in 13 years once the last of the 3 boys is out of the house. haha
Mine is all grown and has 2 Porsche's of his own but can always count on him borrowing the C2 if he gets a chance. He wants one in the worst way but figures he will have mine to barrow for now.
They call the transformers car an RSR but it looks much more like a turbo than RS/RSR so why not call it what we want. Seems to be the accepted way these days.
I feel deprived. They didn't have anything but small pieces to play with when I was a child.
already at $205k this morning, iirc. the magenta color and the seats are simply awesome. i love this combination and the gold Fikses really set it off.
i'd have to sell 2 cars to get into an RS, but this one really makes me consider that option. from an appearance perspective, this is a special car!
