I am reminiscing about my youth and cutting through the Cairngorms in my RS2000 and Mk1 GTI. I just picked up my first air cooled, went for a 964 which I would love to ship back when I have time for a long trip.

We have some good roads in Northern California but I miss Scottish highlands.

 

I picked up my first air cooled Porsche and drove it from Las Vegas to the SF Bay Area.

We had a fabulous trip and despite "staycations" this year the roads were still quiet. Loved the NC500, but I'd avoid the single track roads as far as possible in future. Didn't see another air cooled car all week.

Sorry I couldn't get up your way for the PM event last weekend Cobalt. I had it on my calendar too,... but alas wifey & I were preparing for a large Porsche gathering at our house as a going-away party for the PCA National Membership Chair's Going Away party. She & her wife (Military) are moving to Stuttgart next month. We will definitely be visiting them sometime in the next year or so. Their orders are only for a 3 yr tour, so gotta get in a trip visit while we can
