Which is what my co-workers argue, but I do not think those relationships existed circa the time of the 964 generation.

Okay, perfect. So I prefer to not retroactively apply the current ownership of my car's manufacture to my car's pedigree, lol.

EDIT: Yes, I am aware of the origins of the VW Beetle and 356 and the Ferdinand Porsche connection.

LOVE the new look Jetta. Definitely think you should keep it. I've thought about doing the same thing to my twists, but the contrast against your slate paint is just stunning IMO.

edit: looking at it some more, the black wheels make your 4x4 status seem less apparent. Definitely a fan!

Looks really mean, maybe too mean... but the lessening of the 4X4 status means the look is a keeper for now.

The black rims fit perfectly with the tinted tailights and the black headlight rings, does not look like a C4.
