964 Turbo brakes?
Hi,
I have been offered to buy a pair of brake calipers.
My intention is to have them for my 964-92.
But I cant find any references to the calipers in the PET.
The seller said that the brakes came from a 964-Turbo.
Does it make sense to install them on my 92?
Partnumber is 993.351.421.00 and 993.351.422.00
Best regards
Anders

There were 2 different brake setups on 964t
3.3 used what became the 993 calipers on 322x32 front rotors and what became 993 rear calipers(sort of) on 299x28 rear rotors
3.6 used what became Big Reds on 322x32 front and the same rear setup as the 964 3.3 t
all the fronts use 40/46 pistons and all the rears use 30/34
only use them if you get the matching f/r calipers and rotors

I put them on mine and it made a world of difference. You will need to put adapters on to get the brakes to fit.
I've actually got a set of front hubs w/turbo rotors and adapters I may be willing to part with. I've upgraded to EVO uprights which now require all 993 components on the front en.

Hi,
I’m currently racing a 944S2 in the Michelin Porsche Club Championship but will retire that car after next season and race my 964 or perhaps a GT3 :-)
The seller of the brakes told me that the calipers came from a 964 turbo, the partnumber didnt match.
Information is power :-)
I will scan Ebay but the supply is ”limited” and I think that I will end up ordering from:

Best regards

I've had some good experiences with Mittelmotor but for some parts they were actually more expensive than the regular PC, eg the spoiler wall. Sometimes you can get a nice discount from the dealer.
