Can I put a 993 rear window into my 964 and then get a 993 hi brake light assembly installed also. I just do not like that big obstruction in my view.

Porsche sells a rear window for the 964 without the tinting, part #964-545-107-04 or #964-545-107-06 if you have a rear-wiper. To upgrade to the later 993 style roof mounted brake light there is a kit available, part #000-044-800-12. You will also need a cable harness #993-612-893-00 and a connector #944-612-546-00. If you have a rear wiper you will need to replace the arm with #993-628-032-00 and the blade with #993-628-039-01. To install locating pins on the glass Porsche recommends the adhesive kit #000-043-203-42. There is a TSB from March 7, 1996, "Roof Mounted Third Brake Light - Service Installation" that explains the mods you need to make to your 964. I would look at that before you order anything. For installation instructions you'll need the 993 technical workshop manual volume 5, starting at page 66 - 23.
