Looking for C2 or C4 5 speed coupe. No Red please.
Tips only if cheap-cheap.
Preferably East Coast to keep shipping to a min.

Any out there?? I see only cabs or suspect cars on ebay or overpriced coupes from Victory and Autotrader for $30K.
Thanks in advance!

Big mistake
Unless your real careful your not budgeting enough to do this right...I paid 22 for mine and another 7 to make it near perfect and I still have 3-5k to go. However the paint is new the engine is near three hundred horses and it only has one small leak. The interior and glass is perfect. Good cup one wheels and new Pirelli's. It will have soon cross drilled rotors, new pads and new Eibach springs with sport Bilsteins shocks. I shop very agressively for parts and have found good sources for most. So for approx 32K I have a car it would take about 60 to 90 to match or better new. This is a one year project and I do all minor maintenance myself or with the help of my friend Vern. He has a 89 C-4 and has been an enormous help. Find someone close to you who is familiar with this model. You will probably get some good advice. One good side effect You will get complements wherever you go...
E-mail me if you like.

If you are looking for a driver only type car with higher miles (80k to 100k+) and a mechanical or cosmetic issue or three, $20k or under is realistic. If you want a 964 with lower miles, full records, no accidents, very clean and in good mechanical condition, it will probably cost you a few more thousand to find a nice car. Very nice 92 to 94 models can run in the mid $20k range.
A couple more places to search are the Rennlist classifieds, Pelican Parts Porsche's for Sale board, www.PCA.org, and www.cars.com.
Good luck!

Thats exactly what I am looking for, a driver with 100K or less miules and in decent shape. I have seen a few around ut they go quick or are red cars. There's a nice '91 with 7oK miles at a BMW dealer near me for $22K, but again its red.
I'm a PCA Quest member and have lost out to a few cars and found a few on the west coast.
I don't need a cream puff and do not watn a cab. I'd like to see the production numbers for 90-93 since there seems to be so many cabs on the market for thos years.
Thanks!

For those who are looking. Here's a nice example in New England. I have no affiliation. I'm just looking for a 964 but don't want red.

I bought through Dave Maynard at European Locators (http://www.europeanlocators.com). The seller pays his fee. I found him to be very easy to work with and honest. No affilication. If nothing else, give him a call and talk with him. He's out in Natick/Framingham (office/stable) just off of Rte 9.
