Default Camera mount for a car without a roll bar

Has anyone ever figured out how to mount a video camera in a coupe without a roll bar? I would like to see just how bad I am at the track...

It shouldn't be that difficult to find a place that suts you. I've seen them mouned nearly everwhere.
Helmet, Dash, Wheelwell, Bumper, A-pillar, Rearveiw, and Sideveiw.
Howevr, if you are concerned about cosmetic damage you may want to buy a mount, or make one yourself and save a few bucks.

If you pull a rear speaker out you can use the mounting holes .

You could install a harness bar and put the camera on that. That places the camera behind your seat, so you capture a wider area. I don't like windshield mounts for that reason. Probably expensive just for a camera mount but it's an idea.

You could also buy a bullet camera and install that anywhere you want using a suction cup mount, such as on the hood, on top of the car, side, etc. Check out chasecam.com (no affiliation).

I would sugest this one. I've got one and am using it on trackdays and such.
If your camera is not too big, you can hang it upside down on the inside of your windshield.

I bought a simple mini tripod for my Sony cam and set it on the folded down rear seat backs. Then cable-tie a bungee cord to the u/s of the tripod head and hook each end of the cord onto the rear seat belt centre mounts - stretch v tight - thread the cord down thru the gap between the seat backs. Sounds a little "unstylish" but if you get the bungee tight enough and the tripod legs as wide as possible (!) it works and there's no drilling involved. You can set the camera height using the tripod adjustments and the camera can face forward , back side or whatever you want.

Sorry no pics but next time I use it I'll snap a couple if anyone's interested.

Cheers
