Default How do I remove the main oil line from the engine?

How do I remove the oil line that runs from the engine pump to the filter? Where it attaches to the engine, there is a return tube in the way, and what appears to be a drain plug on the other side. I have the "special" 36 mm wrench that the shops sell, but it won't fit. I can't see that a crowfoot would fit either. And I can't get a big crescent wrench on it either! Help!!

You have to remove the drain plug, so that you get the wrench on the fitting.

No wonder I couldn't figure it out. It required common sense...
