Before 'twas standard black insert.....now colour coded to match the bodywork.

Oh- the it looks real good. I don't have that spoiler, so I didn't realize the difference. Not sure why Porsche didn't color match in the first place.

It's good to see it, as I've often wondered what it would look like.

Having said that, I have to say I prefer the factory look for it, but nice looking job.

Thumbs up

I like it! I have the same on my car even though you don't see it so easily while the car is black.

That looks really slick. How'd you go about having that done? How much was it, if you don't mind my asking.

I was considering doing that as well, but not sure what it would look like since mine is white. Not to mention that it would be a pain in the butt for me to keep clean. Did you also paint the plastic underneath that is exposed when the spoiler is deployed? Or did you leave that black?

Looks nice and clean though. Congrats.

Looks great! Nice paint job -- what did you use?

Mine came from the factory colour-coded to match the bodywork.

Aha,

I used a two pack paint mixed for me by a local company called Gramic, been around for years. They do Aerosols for around £11 for 400mls. I then Lacquered the paint for a bit of protection.

I suppose the cost was about £30 or so for paints and primers etc....

The spoiler that fits into the engine lid is still Black, I haven't sourced one of those yet, I am intending to make sure I can return her to stock should the need arise......The underneath of the actual spoiler itself is now red..

Just finished a door handle today as well.

Oh and I fitted new rubbers to the windows and front quarter, should keep the rain out better than the shortened versions I had before.......

thanks for the comments guys.

Yeah, I must say the stealthy look came out nice on your 964!! The dark colours support the upgrade well, not the same as I see it for White, I want the contrasts. I admire you for bravery; I would not be able to change what was, “once upon a time”..... I’m such a believer of maintaining and or, refinding the Original Specification. I am unable to upgrade or modernize a work of art; all my efforts have been centred on the July 1991 production looks. But, I must admit your 964 looks great!! And the door handles are tempting, nice work!!

Although I like a stock look I am open to ideas that look like " the factory should have done that". Your's certainly qualifies! Nice work. I have a slate grey and and debating doing the same thing with my spoiler.

Hi Kevin,

Looks great. Funnily enough I just posted on the 993 forum to see if anyone had done it over there. It works great on the red. I'm wondering what it would look like on my silver car. Hopefully I can have a closer look if we are both there on the 22nd?

Cheers,

David
