Just arrived in Tokyo for 3 weeks of training. Everyone uses public transport here which is ultra reliable, clean and mega safe. When arriving yesterday, you could see commuters going for a tea in the small cafes and leaving their bags and laptops outside on the floor ! The folks who use bicycles just leave them where they are, no need for locks here.
Gonna miss the p-car though, probably won't even sit in a car for the next 3 weeks !

I learned that one reason I look forward to Fridays is that is the day I drive the p-car. Lovely fall day, crisp air, relatively little traffic (today was a holiday). Great 5-mile hike around a beautiful lake followed by a good cup of coffee. I also learned I'm getting too old to rake leaves for the remainder of the day! Ouch! Groan! Snap-crackle-pop!

I learned that I can expect a Dansk high-flow (100 cell) cat for Christmas as I just - accidently - got the e-mail receipt for the order my wife placed.
