Question 964 rev counter removal

Help. I cannot get my revcounter out. One of the bulbs has gone and I'd like to replace it.

I can pull the rev counter out a little way but it hits the top of the sterring wheel surround and this stops it coming out enough for me to replace the bulb.

Someone told me that the back of the rev counter is shaped to allow it to be removed if you rotate it a little. I've tried rotating it most ways without success. Can anyone help?

If your car is a Tip I assume it has the on board computer (OBC) which makes the rev counter deeper than the standard non-OBC dial. I found when trying out a 993 gauge that I had to remove the steering wheel in order to get it out.

If you have an airbag disconnect the battery and leave for 30 mins before trying to remove the steering wheel or else it could go off in your face.
