Mobil 1 15w50 for $1.22
Just thought I would share. Over the weekend I stumbled over this deal at Target. Mobil 1 15w50 was priced at $1.22 per quart . I bought all they had on the shelf. Any one else see this deal at Target?

No, but I'm stopping by on the way tonight (I've already cleaned out all of the local Wal Marts).
BTW, was it the 'old' formulation/bottle or the 'new' Mobil1 formulation?

My 1992 has always used dino oil. I've read that switching to a synthetic can be the cause of leaks. Is this a true statement? Has anyone switched mid stream to Mobil 1 after using Dino? Anything bad happen?
At those prices, I'd go buy some as it's cheaper then dino at $1.22.

Went to Target on the way home.
Sold out.
However, they did give me 3 rainchecks for 8 quarts each @ $1.18/quart, expiring 12/17, good at ANY US Target store.

OK, another question. How often do those of you who use Mobil 1 change the oil? Do you maintain the 3000 mile interval or can one extend with Mobil 1?

I'll be hitting all the Target stores I can find tomorrow! Lewis... Great idea about the rainchecks!
Russ... You'll probably hear a lot of different opinions on oil change intervals. You can always follow the manual. It also depends on how often/hard you run your car. Do you travel down dirt roads or always on the highway? There are a lot of things to consider based upon your circumstances.e is a garage queen that has had 6k miles put on her in 3.5 years... I change mine once a year, usually in the Spring. In the BMW and Nissan (Both use Mobil 1) I always change oil and filter at 5000 miles.

Does your Mobil 1 decal look like the image below? Up until 1994ish with the introduction of the 993 I thought Porsche was delivering the 911 to the US/CANADA with Shell oil and sometimes the dealers swapped that out for Mobil 1 but the decal on the fan blade ignition wire cover originally said Shell.

For C4Russ - I've owned my C2 for three years and have always used Mobil 1 15w50 and the Mobil1 oil filters that are supposedly made for it. I change oil every 7500 miles.
