ARRRRGGGHHH!!!! I went by Target today and couldn't find the offer. $4.44 a quart was all I got. Asked the guy and he said he hadn't heard about any special offer. Darn...

Nor mine - $5.19/quart! Obviously it was a local offer.

I have been getting M1 at Pep Boys on a buy one get one free offer. Their price is about $4 per quart, so that is not a bad deal.

I change the 964 oil once per year, and put on about 7000 miles in that time. Both oil changes to date, the oil looked almost new, and I wondered if the oil change was needed. I think the dry sump helps keep the oil clean, and I never use the 964 on short runs (have a beater for that).

All grades, including the 15w50 were $4.74 at Target here in New Hampshire.
Almost sounds like some stores somehow marked Mobil1 synthetic at the price of a non-synthetic....? $1.18 or $1.22 is about right for that price. Especially with all of Mobil's new marketing stuff of "extended life" 7500 and 15,000 mile non-synthetics, etc....

5.19 here. Are you sure that wasn't a bottle of Mobil 1 windshield washer fluid?

I just got an oil change and other things done at the dealer. They put in Valvoline 20-50 dino. Looks like I wll change every 3K miles since I know the synthethic last longer. The car is new to me and I checked the previous owner who also used dino according to the dealer paperwork I found. The last time it was changed was a year ago with the 45K maintenance but only 2K miles were put on the car since. Thought it should have some new "blood" regardless.
