A tale of two engines
In a strange twist of fate, I am the owner of two 3.6 engines. They have one difference that I have noticed, eventhough they are the same year (1990). Where the flywheel bolts to the crank is a bit different. Look at the pictures and let me know the significance, if any:
Engine #1 is more flush with the case than #2:

It seems I have found the answer to the question, but now I have another. The first engine is for a manual transmission, the second for a tip.
Will the tip engine bolt up to the manual transmission with no problem? PET doesn't show a difference in the two crankshafts, but I am skeptical.

You still have the converter boss on the end of the crank on the RH motor .
It will come off !! There is no difference in the cranks manual-tip.
