Question Mille Miglia Wheels... any reviews?

I am pondering the wisdom of purchasing some aftermarket wheels for my RS America... from an Italian company Mille Miglia. The wheels in question are nearly identical in appearance to the factory "cup design" set my car came with (also called C2 Turbo by some), and are manufactured "under license of Porsche" using a low pressure casting process. I am interested in any feedback regarding the quality of these wheels for street use. Any experiences?!? Thanks, Mark.

I had a set of the 17" ones. They're kinda heavy, but the finish was very nice.

Thanks for the info Thom, but I just ordered a set of Fikse FM/5's for track use, and I plan on keeping my factory Cup Designs for the street! Mark.

For any others considering Mille Miglia wheels....

I had a set of 17's (993 Cup version) on my 87 when I purchased it. Luckily the sale included a set of Fuchs. The MM's had some very large dents (3 out of 4 wheels, I believe) in the outer rim from impact damage. I'm sure the MM's are nice on the street- just watch out for potholes and curbs- as they don't appear to be overly strong. Like Thom said, they are plenty heavy as well.

As I recall, the 9" rears were ~14.x pounds heavier than 9" Fuchs, and the 7" fronts were ~12.x punds heavier than 7" fuchs. Each

According to the Tire Rack-
The Cup 2 Design Mille fronts are 22 lbs. (10kg) each, while the rears are 23.5 lbs (10.7 kg) each.

While the not the lightest things out there, I think they represent a good value for a non-track wheel- especially for a second set of tires. Definitely watch out for the curbs, though.
