Post What's that thing?

Hi All

Can anyone tell me what that thing is in the blower's air tube (not the resistor) with the long snout and two wires coming out of it?

Thanx in advance
Bill

It's a temp sensor.

If the temp gets too high in the duct after the engine is cut off (heat from the heat exchangers) the fan is switched on to purge it out.

Is that why I heard a fan running on my car after I parked it on a hot day? I seem to recall it ran for at least 15 minutes or so...(air temp was in the low 90s (F) with high humidity)

Hi Doug B.

If that's the temperature sensor then what is the resistor for?

Thanks again in advance
Bill
