Exclamation any spare decklid carrera badges for sale cheap?

Several of you guys have removed the badge on the rear decklid to get that nice, clean, badge-less look. Do you guys want to sell me your unused badge for cheap? I happen to have an old version of the "carrera" script from a 3.2/3.0 and it looks kinda funny. I'd rather have the correct one.

PM me if you've got one! Thanks!

Garrett,

Just a quick word of warning. I got caught out by Design 911 in buying a new "Carrera" script for the back of my '89 C4. According to their catalogue the same script covered the years 89-98, i.e. the 964 and the 993. But it's not true!! The 964 script is larger and flatter than the script used for the 993 and since being aware of the difference I've seen a few 964s with the "wrong" 993 script. I can thank John Miles for pointing mine out to me and I have since cleaned up the old 964 script and refitted it. The correct "Carrera" for the 964 is 911.559.037.00 whereas the 993 version (which is considerably smaller) is 993.559.237.00 Happy hunting.

Regards

Dave

Thanks Dave - I currently have the "wrong" rounder, thinner script on my coupe - it looks fine but since I have my cabrio to compare to, I noticed the difference!

Jason, that's pretty handy of you making the impression and pouring up those labels. What do you use to to make the badge - ABS plastic, epoxy? Very cool - I'll take a black one!

Garrett,

Carrera badge? I think you need your classification decals first.

The mold is made from Dow Corning RTV silicone that I vacuum degass and then pour around the RS emblem. To make the emblems I used 30% milled (long) glass fiber filled polyurethane which I vacuum degass, pour into the mold and then place into a mini autoclave and let the plastic cure at 55PSI (takes anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the type of resin.)
