Post Original rear lights for sale?

I prefer the original-style rear light units, without the vents.
I drilled tiny holes in mine to allow moisture out. This works very well, but I now need to replace my o/s (right) one because it has a small crack in it.
At the same time, I want to replace the entire set and drill it from the rear instead.
Therefore...

Does anyone have an original-style set for sale? Must be in excellent condition, of course - though a bit of 'fading' doesn't matter.

Thanks for the help, but these (like others I have seen on Ebay) seem to be the 'vented' type.

John,

I wonder if it would be possible to pull the rubber seal off of your old lights & put it over the vents on some new ones?

Hi John,
I did something similar to what you suggested. I own a 91C4, which came with vented rear lens. I bought a set of new seals from the '90 model and fitted them to my lens. Now my rear lens has the seal all the way around instead of the top vented look. I like that much better.

Mike, that's brilliant news!

Any chance of some pictures?

I presume you have the seals fitted around both light units and the central strip?

Thanks, Mike.

It looks like you haven't got the seal aroung the centre panel. Did you try this?

I'm on my second 964 (a '91 C2 tip cab) having owned a '90 C4 coupe back in 1995-96. I must admit I couldn't remember my previous car having vents around the rear lights. However, this thread has really helped, and I agree with JB that they look better with the seals. I'll be carrying out the revision. Mike - do you have the part numbers for the seals?

BTW, I love the forum and hope to be able to give as much as I take.
