Help w/ parts ID, please
Just checked my distributer Nr. and yes, indeed there is a Z stamped upon it. I have recrods from PO- he was chasing a no start issue, which I have solved, but he was barking up the wron tree. A repair order dated Jul 97 indicates the following parts were replaced:
1 930-602-015-AX Distribu------$500.00
1 000-043-202-52 Ventilat------$13.97
2 930-602-919-01 Distribu------$160.00
2 930-602-902-02 Ignition------$71.40
8 CPO 4.25---------------------$261.38, plus they stuck in a new battery to the tune of $127.65. Total bill for that & an oil change was $1,359.97, thank you.
(funny thing was the guy sold the car- the problem was'nt fixed. I found a bad flywheel position sensor and a bad coil were the real culprits)

I might have stayed up to late last night, but I can't understand what you are asking for..... Do you want to know what those parts are? Sorry

Kevin- yes, that was the question. Just got carried away, and forgot to ask. Thanks- that was what I thought, just wasn't real sure. Since that was about 15K miles ago, and 3-1/2 years, I will assume that the belt is still fairly fresh??? Wonder what "CPO $261.00" is labor, do you suppose? I can't imagine them charging that much to plug in a new dist, oil change and battery. 1 hour would be enough for even fumble fingers me to do it.

I think that was the labor charge, it included the oil change, there was probably some diagnostic time in it also. It might be a good idea to start a new topic explaining the previous problems with your engine, and the result---faulty flywheel position sensor. I think that that this sensor gets over looked. It might be a good topic for future searches.
