John,

What is the lovely, smallish spoiler mounted at the top of your rear window?

John,

If you have the 17" 8/9.5" series Carrera Cup racing wheels then they are not magnesium. They are AlMgSi something-or-other. Not quite pure mag like the road-going RS wheels.

I knew they weren't 'pure' magnesium, but I didn't realise the road-going ones were.

They should be interesting if the car ever goes on fire! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

My RS wheels has "Magnesium" stampt on the outside. Like the width and ET numbers.

JB, the word Magnesium is visible on the outside of the rim in the same way as the width and offset is. And I'm sure they are not PURE magnesium

Thanks for the info.
Anyone able to shed some light on the reason for the difference in materials and manufacturers between the Carrera Cups and the RS wheels?
