hmmmm 2200 would take some doing. I'm at 2570 and and theres another easy ish 100lb then I m stuck

Yeah.... I was thinking that my 65 911 was 2200 pounds stock, and that was a light little car!!

#2200 would take some doing. @ #2570 your not replacing body parts are you yet.
I was at 2675ish with the cage in the car - i am hoping to be in the 2550 range once it comes back together - maybe less.
it will have a full interior with Recaro RSR seats & a couple of other nicities (not much though).
The trick is to do it correctly and not comprimise the car.

Light cars stop better

They do everything better when they're lighter!! It just gets really expensive to get a 964 really light...

well yes i have replaced body parts, doors, hood,spoiler engine lid but it does have a cage

certainly do ( and accelerate and corner better)
