Genuine Porsche rotor vs. Zimmerman rotor

$225, I like your source better!
I pulled out the old quote, and this is what I was offered exactly a year ago:
Front 968 M030
965 351 041(2) 01 List $317.14 Discounted $249.83
Rear 968 M030
951 352 041 91 List $234.68 Discounted $167.33
Even at the $250 price, that was high enough that I have continued to use solid rotors.
I just checked Paragon Products (who may not be the cheapest) and their Zimmerman solid rotors are $97.33 for the Turbo S/928 rotor and $85.33 for a plain 944T rotor. For Porsche rotors, I was paying $92-99 for the 928 rotor (which is why it was a no brainer to use Porsche vs. Zimmerman), and $112 for the smaller 944T rotor (which is 24% higher than the Z rotor - so then I need to decide if I think the Porsche rotor will last 24% longer than the Zimmerman).
<EDIT: However, if you want the crossdrilled or slotted, the Zimmerman from Paragon are $116 for Crossdrilled 928 rotors, and $137.33 for slotted. And for a 100% price difference, Im positive that a factory crossdrilled will not last twice as long as a Zimmerman.>
Sorry for not being able to quote any 964 rotor info, but I just drive mine on the street and rotors last an eternity with that use. The 944s that I have tracked hard go through rotors like gasoline, so Ive purchased plenty over the years and keep closer track of prices for those cars.

Power Slot Rotors
Has anyone tried the Power Slot rotors on their P-Car?
I have a set on the front my 99 Grand Cherokee that ate the stock solid rotors on a very consistent basis. My dealer had replaced the rotors 4 times under warranty and again on his nicklel as they would warp in 10-12K miles.
Finally after living with a set of warped rotors after they stopped buying, I went back to the dealer who had also become fed up with the Mopar rotors. The service department began stocking the Power Slot rotors. I had him put on a set for which I'm 100% satisfied. Great braking and the feel is good. No warpage or even a hint of shudder in the last year. Best part, dealer installed for $170 including labor. I couldn't buy them that cheap so I was thrilled that I had a beer/sandwich while watching a ballgame as they did the brakes.
I see Performance has them at $180 each! Ouch, that is some serious $$ for rotors. I wonder if they are that much different than other rotors or are we paying a Porsche tax on these. The model for my Protege is $78 from the TireRack. When I went to the local dealer for rotors for the Mazda the stock rotors where $105 each. Can't figure out this pricing.
