Default oil lines

been looking at these oil lines and I knew I had to replace them I could see they were weeping and looked dry rotted. lucky now was the time to do them. this is the hose from the oil filter to thermostat. I'm doing all of them. they all look the same.

some thing was telling me time to change these. we'll see how the replacement lines look. when I went to remove the hose I went to bend it and it just broke in my hands. I know you were looking for the line ends so you could have so made up. If you like you can have these I'll try to keep them together the best I can.

Blimey, seems like lucky intervention - much longer and who knows what disaster was about to happen. Good luck with replacing everything.

Very easy job for a local hydraulics specialist to restore those lines with new hoses. I did it on my car for a fraction of the cost of the new lines.

Did they reuse the old union fittings or did they fit new ones (assuming they're pretty standard)?

Reuse original fitting with new pressed sleeves.

here are the forward cooler lines. was able to get them off in one piece. also I didn't have to remove the oil tank to remove the line from the oil filter to thermostat you can see when you remove the oil tank filler hose and crankcase hose their is enough room to remove the line.

You have an '89/'90 964? Think the early ones had jubilee clips securing the hose to the unions whereas the later hoses had swaged unions;

new lines installed and the line from the oil filter to the thermostat that some people say is not bent right, the one I got was perfect just like the old one. one more thing to not worry about. I also got all the vent hose's to do but I'll wait till I pull the intake.

Let me know when you pull the intake. If you need a hand changing out the plenum bearings, happy to lend a hand. Does your car have the older aluminum throttle body with two plenum or the later plastic one with the single larger plenum?

my car has the plastic manifold but the throttle body is aluminum and it has two plenum. I'll be changing my intake to a gt3 setup with six throttle bodies. ITB's . I'm just waiting for rothsport to put it together for me. at that time I will also change the engine harness again to install the AEM setup.
