Hi Boys and Girls (political correctness)

If you get a chance have a look at the posts on the 993 board re the Jimbob character, those boys are having real sense of humour failure.

I know we can all get a little heated at times, but we choose to read this board and if something does not interest us or offends us we just scroll on past.

Very relaxed 964 owner.

I've been "lurking" in the 993 forum for a while myself. As the saying goes, "now it get's interesting". I'm so glad this group hasn't fallen into that trap.

For some reason the 993 group has always been much more active; sometimes for good and other times for bad.

I think JimBob was ok, plus if one doesn't like something then its best to ignore instead of trying to change the world their way.

That 993 thread on JimBob reminds me of some of the knock down, drag out fights over on Pelican between the 911 aircooled guys and the water pumper guys. Man, those threads got really personal, nasty and turned into mud slinging fests. They were a riot!

Wow!!! It looks like a lot of us 993 listers are coming over here for a break. As a former 964 hanger-outer I still come here often and even had a contribution or two! What a mess, huh? At least we give you something to laugh at. Like when we find out that our precious 993's aren't invincible after all. (Steering rack woes, a drive-block system that successfully blocks owners from ... driving, squeaking windshields, a distributor belt just as prone to breakage as the 964, and ... (wait for it...) a wiring harness recall ?!?!?!?!

I wouldn't call the 964 board the cumbaya board though. Reminds me of the occassional poor unfortunate 964 soul who misinterprets Adrian and speaks out against him - not knowing the millions he has helped. INSTA-SLAM!!! I know Adrian saved me time and time again... but remember the heated C4 brake flushing controversy? No different than over on Pelican when someone would insult the great "Early S-man."

Ahhh... aint anonymity just grand?

You make some good points, Brian, with respect to animosity on the 964 board. That said, I can't remember the last time I've seen someone on this board complain about off-topic content. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Keep in mind that despite the volume of posts on that topic, only about 4 or 5 actually found him objectionable (not counting the bandwidth eating avatar).

Try not to make the mistake of judging an entire group of people by the actions of a few.

For example, I happen to know there are some real rabble rousers in this here 964 group, just pretendin' to be kum-bay-ya types for now...
