I know we can all get a little heated at times, but we choose to read this board and if something does not interest us or offends us we just scroll on past.

Very relaxed 964 owner.

Actually more than that, I am so pissed at that originators of that thread.......I guess I don't think that anyone has the right to drive out a fellow Rennlister for the reasons of the original poster (who should be ashamed of himself) - John D has shown the ability to deal with truly distasteful postings and tolerance is important to me.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we try and keep the 964 board somewhat along the tolerant, good-natured and welcoming nature we've inherited and maintained to date. I get a lot out of this board and enjoy the contact and would hate to lose that.

The above mentioned 993 post makes one appreciate our 964 board!

Over the past 2.5 years that I've been around I can remember some other memorable 911 forum 'squabbles' on Rennlist:

Recent 996 post from someone in New York about exploding 996 motors and Porsche's alleged cover up of that fact (finally deleted after pages of rambling and some serious name calling...)

"Banishing" 993RS to the Off Topic Board from the 993 board for too much OT posting.

George Swamp Monster posts from the old board format always brings back great memories! Man, people would get pissed at him and the V8 911...

All those 993 verses 996 arguments...

That JimBob stuff was really funny though!.

Angry

I think I might stay out of this one. However, I have had some arguments on the 996 Turbo board over the least 2-3 days with a guy who owns a BMW 740 but is about to get a 996TT with RUF Turbo R conversion or something. It is the thread called VR4 vs 996TT or something.

I am off to the 993 board to have alook at this latest fight. Can't wait.

Talking

Hi Guys

Good to see sense of humour returning, although i think the 993 boys may be trying the old "wooden horse" chestnut.

And they have Jimbob in the wooden horse with them.

No only joking, does bring a smile to your face having a light hearted pop at each other. At the end of the day we all drive the same make of car, unless you count the 924 guys who drive Audi's (joking). We get more out of talking to each other about all P models rather than other Ford owners (just an example).

Best regards

Dang, I felt a huge load of stress release from my body as I started reading some posts on this 964 board. I've been needing a vacation for a while, and this seems to be the place to kick back, open up a cold perrier, nibble on some mixed nuts, and RELAX!

I've always loved the look of a 94 Widebody (uhhh, like who wouldn't?). Does that make me a welcome visitor here? I promise not to ask for anyone to be voted off this list, or banished for being humorous. Geez, after 9/11, we could all use a little humor, eh? Seeing those buildings come down made a part of me die inside. I need all the "fun in the sun" and sometimes crazy humor I can get!

Grateful for the break,
Steve

Steve, you are more than welcome on the 964 board, but only if you can sing, from memory, the third verse of Kum-Bay-Ya.

So, who bought your blue Carrera? Local or out-of-towner?

Stever:

That was great reading when you were posting about what car to get next after the '88 and your recent purchase of your C4S on the 993 boards. How do you like it vs. the '88.

Didn't Holt Motors get your car?
