Was out with EVOLUTION CLUB for a Sunday (19 JAN) morning drive. Saw your white Carrera turning just outside the cafe at 'SUN NURN TAM' and recognised your plate!

Anyway, 'just to say HI!", but probably see you there again......seems to be a very popular place on Sunday mornings.......so many great cars there: 993 RS (three), 996 turbos (two),GT3(one), 996C4S (one - my favourite!), I even saw a 964C4 wide bodied celebration30 and even a new SL500 (Hummm).......too many Ferraris to count!
They say we are in a recession!! I bet the owners don't know that - or don't feel it! And there's me in my humble EVO6TM (cheapest car there!)

What a great surprise! Look me up next time so I know who you are. What is the color of your Evo6? I saw several today but don't know which one's yours. I think there was a blue, a black, a grey, and a yellow one. You car may be cheap compared to the Ferraris, but I am suere it will definitely surprise a few Ferrari owners with your Evo. Hope to meet you next time.

Mine was the black one.
We at the EVO CLUB don't really drive that fast *wink*
The EVO is not really built for speed (top speed about 250Km/h), but it really loves acceleration and bends!!
I feel alot safer driving my C4 at speeds above 180Km/h......The EVO feels nervous above this speed.

Hey Guys!

I used to live in Hong Kong and at the time I was a member of the Volkswagen club "Vorsicht". We used to take the route all the way from Lai Chi Kok over the mountains to Lu Keng. One of our members Aidan has a killer Evo6, white with lots of goodies. He also drives a Maritime Blue (Porsche color) Honda CRX Del Sol with an Integra Type R engine tuned by Mugen, watch out for this little bullet as well!

Hi C4,

Yes, I know Aidan, he joins our Sunday Drives quite often. He's one of the quickest drivers in our group.....even when driving a VW PASSAT on Route Twist!! And he still has his CRX.....so sentimental!!

For David: Everytime I use Jebsen I have to sell a kidney!! So expensive. I usually goto 'Continental' or 'Road N Track'....They know Porsche really well.

Can any of you guys recommend an insurance company in HK. I'm looking for altenative quote and all the companies I talk to won't insure Porsches.As soon as I mention it's a Porsche then they are not interested.

My C4 is insured with 'Trinity General', but the premium this year is HK$7,300 Third party only and 60% NCB)....Last year it was only HK$2,500!

what kind of Porsche do you drive?

Yes, I agree with Simon, Jebsen is expensive so I usually go to Gembella ( formally Continental) for services as well.

 

A 90 C2, Slate Grey. I uses Carrera Motorsports ( in Fotan) as my mechanic. He is reasonably priced and has always done a good job for me.
