Default Speed Channel-Chop Cut Rebuild-C2 Cab

I dont know if any of you caught the series Chop Cut Rebuild on Speed, but I happen to see it over the weekend. They usually modify hot rods and muscle cars, but they picked up another project car, a 91 C-2 Cab. They are putting various Strosek body panels on it, among other things. The show is 1/2 hour long, and you only get to see the C-2 for about 1/3 of the show, due to the fact that they have 2 other project cars they are modifying. The crew dismantling the car remarked on how good the build quality is on the car and how the car would probably stay together even if you removed all the bolts.
I dont know what day it comes on, it looked like I caught a repeat of it, and this was the first episode of the C-2, so there should be a few more to come.
Any way, I just thought I would pass it on.

Why would they spend all that money on building the car then leaving a tired old motor in there with only fluid and tuneup?

I didn't see the show, but the car looks pretty nice. The paint looks awesome, but I'm not sure about the PIAA headlights. I bid on it to track the auction and see if the car sells. Thanks for the link.

Doesnt say the 102K motor was rebuilt. At that many miles it probably is about due for a top end atleast if hasnt been done already. The motor doesnt look all that clean for a show quality car. I wonder about 309HP with a chip and exhaust. Dont get me wrong if I was looking for the ultimate pimp my ride Pcar it would be at the top of my list. Looks like a few of the ricer car models running around here with the projector lights. For that money you could get a pretty nice turbo or new 997.

Lets be realistic, you don’t get 309 hp out of those mods, and the eBay add says it was appraised at 115k. I guess the owner did his own appraisal. I’d be shocked if the car sells on eBay and this is its second time around on eBay.

Personally, it looks pretty nice to me if you like all the pimp stuff but it appears to be a case where the owner thinks its worth a heck of a lot more then it actually is.

They are absolutely crazy if they think they're going to get anywhere near $115K for the car. It's all show and no real additional go. I'd love to see a dyno graph for that.

Guys, I like this ride. Look at the promotional modifications applied to this car. Realistically, what is it worth. Leave out emotions. Provided average PPI for that year and mileage. What should it command in a marketplace or true buyers. My guess is about 1/2 the apprasial, around $50K. Whats your educated guess.

Hmmmm...Looks like it talks the talk, but don't walk the walk! Needs a twin turbo with all wheel drive to really be impressive and match the costume it's wearing.

Caught this show last night on Speed Channel, if anyone is interested in seeing it. Must be in re-runs as they were just stripping the body panels off.
