Post Several things...

Hi All,

I haven't been around much for a few reasons. In the space of a month I totaled my truck and took a severance package from my employer because they were down-sizing. They made me several offers but I decided to take the money and run. There are several things that I have learned during my absence and some others that I wanted to share.

1. Here's a picture of the truck! I was VERY lucky... Walking away with only bruises and a few cuts. It was nasty weather at dusk and me taking a few things for granted that was the culprit... Never again!

2. The debate about whether my baby ought to be a daily driver is no longer in question. It's driven all the time now except when it snows and there is a lot of salt on the road. (Yes Christer... No more OCD, HA!) In that case, I'll drive my Fiance's BMW.

3. I found out that the double beep I was hearing upon shutting off the car and opening the door was the Blaupunkt stereo reminding me to take the key card. The stereo is worthless without it and is supposed to deter thieves. (Yeah, right!)

4. If anyone in the Baltimore, MD area is in banking, lending or finance and needs a qualified person to help run their company, please email me at rickkirby@comcast.net . The job I just left was a VP position for a company called AmeriCredit Financial Services. They specialize in indirect subprime auto lending. I ran 9 branches in Maryland and Virginia. I can tell you who will pay, who will pay late or who will not pay at all! I figured I would network a little here too... You never know where an offer may come from and the best jobs are not found in the paper.

Thanks,

Rick
