Benjamin, what do you mean by "door check"??

Are you referring to the assembly in the front section of the door jamb that slows and limits the opening of the door?

If so, and if that's what it's called...I just got a "lesson" in nomenclature.

The unit is relatively easy to changeout once you take off the door panel, to include the speaker that is located nearby...you'll need that hole for access.
