Over the past weekend I cut and welded on my turbo quarters. Thanks to Rick Deman who gave me some turbo flares off of a factory 86 Turbo (I know, "old school"...) that were cut off for fiberglass flares and butt welded them on. Gary Stratton from Florida was kind enough to walk me through the process. This is the method that Porsche used on the early turbo cars.

I have only a few odds and ends to finish off and the car goes to the powder coater on Aug 6th.

That's great, thanks for the update. Are you going to add flares to the front also?

I have fiberglass turbo front fenders, so no, I'm not going to weld flares to the original C2 fenders, but I will have a widebody chassis. So far I have been very pleased with the fit of the CF/fiberglass parts I purchased which so far have required minimal work for fitment.
