I too would be interested as mine is a colour not listed to be available for the 964, but was offered on earlier cars. It would be nice to think thay my car is the only 964 in this colour!!

Although Porsche offered many different colors in either standard or special order for the 964. The most common factory exterior colors produced in order of commonality are black, guards red and grand prix white. These three colors represent close to 80% of all 964's produced. Various shades of silver and gray, such as polar silver, arctic silver, slate gray, linen gray, stone gray, etc. represent approximately 10%. The remaining approximate 10% represent the many other colors such as wimbledon green, amethyst, etc. offer by Porsche.

Default Production Numbers by Color?

I had run a poll on the 993 forum to see if I could get a glimpse into this question. You may want to set one up for 964's.

I would be curious as to where you got this information as I doubt its veracity. Some of these colors you've listed were never offered in a 964 such as Artic Silver. Here is a list of the colors offered for all the years but not by percentage. The question of "color by percentage" was asked on the 993 forum and AFAIK the consensus was that this information was not available from Porsche.

Yes, (sorry about the typo) Arctic Silver was offered as a special order paint code 92T.

I've not found a specific source, but I base my estimate on much research and various sources. I believe the percentages are a reasonably close estimate. It'd be great if someone could find some more precise or accurate numbers on specific colors.

I would have gone with GR as the most common color (by some margin)!

Thanks for posting the link. Interesting that own a 93 Horizon Blue Metalic 964 but it doesn't appear on either the special or regular order list.

Maybe it's on the special secret order list 😃

Thanks for posting the list Mondrian. I would like to start a poll but you "only" have the option of 20 items.
