Production Numbers by Color?

Wishful thinking, that's why there is a discrepancy in production numbers for every model as no official figures have ever been released and each expert throws out something different. I think Porsche marketing enjoys the mystery!

Porsche 964 Exterior Colors
Compiled by: Jon Kaminsky (jon@rennlist.com) Date: August 11, 2002
And he used two different sources to make this list.
Note: two sources were used for these data:
1. Porsche 911 Red Book, Patrick C. Paternie, 2000, MBI Publishing Company, Osceola, Wisconsin USA.
2. Original Porsche 911, Peter Morgan, 1995, MBI publishing Company, Osceola, Wisconsin USA.
At least one colour is missing from that list and it is mentioned in the list under 964uk.com. I didnt cross check others but colour of mine (L729/Satin black @ 1990).

Will check out above link but Satin black is listed in Adrian's (which is a more comprehensive list) & IIRC 964uk have a picture of Satin Black 964 on their site too. I like Satin Black, it was a special colour for the 200 black 25th anniversary cars in 89. I wonder if Satin Blue is in fact satin black and just a typo on Peter Morgan's as I have not seen or heard of satin blue but could be wrong as there are a few other alien colors (to me anyway) - these are all the blacks listed in Adrian's list.

I was always convinced that my 964 was Wimbledon Green.
But after some searching on Rennlist I found out is Turquise Metallic L35X.
Greetings,
Henrik
PS. Mondrian, you were right. It was wishful thinking.
