Thank you for voice of wisdom. Porsche has brilliant engineers, and has refined the 911 engine for 40 years. From what I see, they spare no expense on the engines. Shade tree engineering has very little chance of improving performance or fuel economy without degrading something else far worse.
If you can find a modification the factory used for its racing program, that may be worth a try. Simply grinding away metal in the hope of improvement will very likely be counterproductive.
