Anyone see Colin Belton's write up in GT Purely Porsche?
I just got it last week and the cover carried a picture of the Cayenne. Anyway, inside there's a feature story on modifying your 993RS or 964RS. As you might've guessed, the 964 upgrade was covered by fellow Rennlist contributor Colin Belton. He reviewed many of the mods already covered on this forum except with a lot less detail.
Good stuff. If you haven't seen this publication, it's not a bad way to blow $7. The photography is outstanding but the story content could use some work. It's not exactly Phil Raby et al, but at least it'll keep the boys at 911&PW on their toes.

Yeah i've seen it, great feature. And i agree about the content, top-notch pics but somewhat lacking in passion sometimes when it comes to the text.
Oh and how about that 993 RS? The stuff of dreams....

Almost made me call TPC for a supercharger quote... What I did not understand, for the 964, the Motech upgrde sounded pretty simple, I know the same power could not be unleashed from a 993 with just the Motech installation (too bad)

Colin didn't write the article - he was interviewed re: the MoTEC as he has done a few.
It is quite interesting that the same output can't be gained form a 993 engine though. In stock form, it obviously flows more air & fuel, and puts out more HP than the 964 engine. I'm not sure why bigger injectores controlled by MoTeC and the throttle pot can't put out the same 320 HP??
What I'd like to see it a supercharge conversion WITH MoTeC!!, that is all the benefits of precisely controlled fuel metering combined with boost!!

Joey Bagadonuts is a character from a Joel Coen short story. I read it last night and assumed that was where you got 'Joey Bagadonuts' from!!
FYI, Joey is a young graduate who decides to become a boxer - instead of getting a boring office job. Unfortunately, he's hopeless and not only gets knocked about a bit, but gets recruited to do some dirty work for Benny Benedick!!
He doesn't drive a P-Car though!!

I got tagged with the joey bagadonuts handle by a rather curvy and enticing blonde acquaintance. At that point, I didn't mind what she called me ... as long as she called!
She's no longer around but the memory lives on.

Well, John, I think the quality of their articles need to improve. The photography is awesome, but the journalism is very 'Loaded', if you know what I mean. A lot of superlatives and very little information unfortunately, all wrapped up in Jeremy Clarkson-speak!!

I second those sentiments John. Very nicely packaged but somehow lacking in substance.
It's good to see John M's site continuing to grow in stature and importance though.
Cheers
