Question airbox mod question

i am thinking about drilling the holes in the airbox. i know that is a commonly known mod. my question is about sound. everyone says that the car will sound sportier, but exactly how much louder will it be from stock. i don't want it to loud.

thanks

Hi Daryl,
The car is only louder under load. Thus don't worry about static noise tests at tracks days. The car sounds a bit louder from inside under load, more growly really. There is a bit of a sonic boom effect as you go thru 4200 and 6000 revs. Cut the holes and if you don't like it, buy a used airbox cover and replace. I bought a spare for £20 UKP.
Great Sound though. Check out the mod with pics on the technical page of my site.
