What Brakes did the 3.8RSR use?

I concur with your conclusion that that is the base package the RSRs initially came with. I believe my front setup is the later option from Wrightwood Racing, and then there is the 380x32mm endurance setup which is different yet.
I believe the part numbers listed in the parts manual were 964/965 part numbers for 993 parts not yet in production.

Noticed there's an article on the 3.8RSR in the current Excellence magazine that just came in the mail. Haven't read it yet, but thought I'd point it out.....

One question though, you have a 3.6 so surely the RS brakes are not an upgrade...are they...? (I am sure I have missed something here, but I do believe in the 'no question is a stupid one'...) right?)

In an indeal world i could get my 300mm * 28mm turbo discs in that offset or even better 320mm like the front but you cant get them.
I have got a set of rear 993TT discs (322 * 28) and calipers but the pads are smaller than the front and only cover 300mm of the surface really so i am going to get these to fit on with a set RS discs and see how i get on with this new set up.
I tried to change the hubs over (turbo hubs on NB arms) but no luck yet as im just getting the hang of pressing out hub and bearings so not sure if they will fit or not.
