Dear Jeff,
I think that about sums it up. I have everything from 0 to an X. It must be some formula like the Swiss Income tax formula. Nobody knows who invented it, nobody knows how it works, just comes up with a number. Larger for us foreigners,

I think the 9th digit is actually generated with a random number table. Really, I think this is the way it's done.
